Laurence Wheat was born on October 20, 1876 in Wheeling, West Virginia. His early acting career consisted of stage roles in productions such as "The College Widow" which ran at the Grand Opera House from January 14 to January 17, 1906. He entered the film industry in 1921 with the film "The Land of Hope" and was in a number of films with Norma Talmadge. Wheat died on August 7, 1963.
